In the News

The Johnson Creek Public Library's fall session of Early Literacy Class (formerly called Preschool Story Hour) is offered two times a week, beginning September 16. Area children, ages three through six, are invited to participate in either the Friday morning story hour or the Friday afternoon story hour. The Friday morning session will be held from 10:00-10:45 a.m. The Friday afternoon story hour will meet from 1:00-1:45 p.m. Advance registration is preferred. Early Literacy Class offers children the opportunity to listen to stories; learn finger plays and songs; and do simple crafts, all in a small group setting. Parents wishing to register their children should stop in at the library to complete the registration card.

Area children, ages one and two years old, are invited to participate in the fall session of the Johnson Creek Public Library’s Toddler Story Time. The toddler story sessions will be held Wednesday and Thursday mornings beginning October 5 and 6. Parents of toddlers are invited to register their child for the weekly sessions, which will meet 10:30-11:00 a.m. During the seven-week session, the children will listen to familiar stories; learn favorite action rhymes such as “I’m a Little Teapot” and “Itsy Bitsy Spider”, and play simple games. Each child must be accompanied by an adult. If the parent has two children eligible for the toddler time sessions, a second adult is not necessary.
