How Do I…?

Access materials from 24 libraries in the Bridges system as well as digital resources and more!

To get a library card for the Johnson Creek Public Library, fill out a Library Card Application and bring it to the front desk along with proof of residency, such as a driver’s license, lease agreement, utility bill, or bank statement.

Physical copies of the application are also available at the library.

For information on loan periods, item limits, and holds/renewals, see our Circulation Policy.

Visit the Cafe Catalog, select “My Account,” and click the “Log In” link. Type in your library card barcode (all the letters and numbers under the barcode) and your 4-digit PIN. Once you log in, you can see all the materials you have checked out and renew them yourself.

Having trouble? Just call us at (920) 699-3471 and we can help you log in, reset your PIN, or just renew your books over the phone.

The Johnson Creek Public Library is part of the Bridges Library System which gives our customers access to 23 other libraries in Jefferson and Waukesha counties. Any library customer who is a member of one of these libraries can use any other library in Bridges! You can pick up or drop off library materials at any member library or order materials from any member library—for free!

Visit the Cafe Catalog, select “My Account,” and click the “Log In” link. Type in your library card barcode (all the letters and numbers under the barcode) and your 4-digit PIN. Search the thousands of materials available in the Bridges Library System, and, when you find something you want, select the “Place a Hold” button on the right and select the library you want to pick up the materials at.  You may also call the library at 920.699.3741 and ask them to place your hold. You will be notified in the manner you selected when registering at your library, either by phone, text, or e-mail.

Do you want to be notified of library holds by e-mail instead of phone? Do you need to update your address? Give us a call at (920) 699-3471 and we can update it!

There are two types of donations the library accepts: monetary and items.

If you would like to make a monetary donation, please bring the cash or check directly to the library or send it via secured mail to our PO box address. You may also consider contacting the Friends of the Library and donating to that organization.

If you would like to donate items, we take all gently used adult books, teen books, children’s books, and DVDs. We do not accept damaged or musty items, CDs, VHS tapes, audiotapes, or magazines. The donated items may be considered for addition to the collection, placed in the Friends of the Library’s annual book sale, or placed elsewhere upon the discretion of the director.
